Hi, in this video I show you how mix Hard Trap Beat that I started last week. I start by showing you the element in the verse and then in the chorus. First, I talk about the drums and the equalization that I used. I used a high-pass filter to remove some of the kick energy that I though it was too much. This made the drums a little bit more clear. The 808 was in a way similar, I applied a high-pass filter to remove the frequencies that I could not hear. Then I applied 3 more cuts to make the 808 more in line with the drums. The blurred strings have a very simple equalization. I remove the low end and I make them a little bit more interesting and more involving with the drums and 808. The next part is the chorus with 2 extra instruments that I mixed. The main synth for the chorus also received a high-pass filter and I boost at 4k to make the synth a little bit more present in the mix. For the Bells I used the same principle of removing the low frequencies and I wanted to make the delay of the bells a little bit more present throughout the mix. And that is it.
